The Standard Is Going Boom Boom Room

We are just days away from the beginning of Fashion Week, which means we are just days away from the opening of the Standard's roof top bar, the Boom Boom Room. The space, towering high above the High Line park, is certainly one of the most anticipated openings to hit New York in a long time. According to our Little Birdy, the Boom Boom Room is jaw-droppingly awesome, with floor to ceiling windows offering magnificent views in every direction. But the kicker is the portions of the room that have glass floors, offering views 18 stories down to the ground. Hope that doesn't make you too jumpy. The festivities kick off Saturday night with a private party and then Purple Magazine takes over on Sunday for what is sure to be a wild fiesta. Boom Boom!

Anyone know how I can be BFF's with Oliver Zahm?
Boom Boom room is gonn be sick, my friends company built the standard, he said its really nice, up there and supposdly going to be hard door.
i was actually in a party up there LAST september fashion week for interview magazine. it was totally raw and they had to escort everyone up through the construction site that was the standard. EVERYONE was there- Andre, Sean and Eric, all the fashion elite. crazy that it has taken a whole year to finish it out. i have no idea about the design, but the views are insane, south towards jersey city and north, right at the empire state.
Did Shawn and Eric bring their crab-infested "assistant" Courtnay? Heard they pass her back and forth when the girlfriends are out of town.
boom boom across the room
just saw it tonight. first time i've been rendered speechless by a space in years. the bathrooms alone are worth a visit. sick views, super high-end finishes. absolutely stunning all around.
any info on doorman, resident djs, promoters involved?
The place is being run by a former manager of Chateau Marmont, no word on DJ's yet.
Wade is djing the opening party. no promoters as of yet are involved. bathrooms have a glass floor and hang out from the building so you can see straight down to the street.
The original Boom Boom Room is the basement disco at the Clarke Cookhouse in Newport, Rhode Island. The name is stolen as the other has been around forever.
