Abe & Arthur's Gets an Early Thumbs Up
A Little Birdy happened upon Eugene Remm and Mark Birnbaum's soon to open Abe and Arthur's last night and followed the following report:
I walked by the abe and arthurs space last night and the construction door was wide open. Took a peek in and I was pretty impressed with how slick the place looked. Yellow lighting, and lots of stainless steel/dark wood. Very spacious look to it.
Hmm, yellow lighting, stainless steel, dark wood. Sounds just like a Williamsburg condo to us. We all know how well those turned out. Our LB's BlackBerry died while taking a picture, so unfortunately we are just going to have to take their word for it.

i am personally not a fan of tenjune, or emm group at all - i think they are tools but i am a fan of good blogs with good info and i wish you would report the facts - you come off worse then them when you compare what will prob be a decent restaurant to a condo in williamsburg? come on Scott, please stop acting lower then them, yes they are tools but their spot may be decent and us readers deserve a fair review

How surprising is it that DBTH is writing a negative review of something unless it is owned by Strategic Group... it is especially poignant to see how well Scott takes any form of criticism regarding his transparent bias....

Maybe he doesnt let hipster in because they dont shower, they were striped tank tops from a thrift store. They dont spend money. And most importantly they dont add anything to the room, all they do is wear old converse and rag on everyone but themselves. Hipsters are such unoriginal fucks, you all look the same, like american apparel and urban outfitters got in a fight and you were in the middle and came out looking like some of the biggest douchebags in new york.
Go back to the brooklyn pool parties where you belong. Nobody wants you guys in Manhattan.

Once again DBTH sets the bar for impactful, hard-hitting journalist. There are several spaces closing soon, DJ's passing away, major players shifting focus, summer parties shutting down, and yet you report on one of your friends who walked by a burger restaurant and almost snapped a photo. was at tenjune on tuesday, drake had the table next to mine and performed... also spoke to aalex who will be doing the door at simyone (the lounge in abe & arthurs), when it opens... not sure who will be doing the door at tenjune after he leaves...
