Home and Guesthouse Check Out
Another blow for 27th Street, as a Little Birdy tells DBTH that both Home and Guesthouse are now officially closed. Back in 2006 and 2007, Jon B. was flying high with the larger Home and more intimate Guesthouse, but the street became a shit show, and the bottle business and customer base simply vanished. Mr. B has relocated his game to Greenhouse, but these closings will certainly help push him further up the Least Important List. So let's all pour one out for Home and Guesthouse - we ain't gonna miss you.

well - the B&T crowd has to work longer construction in hrs in jerz now to afford hair gel, protein bars, gym memberships and gas

Didn't Jon B say that he has a 1000000000000000 year lease, and plans to stay open as long as that lease allows.

05' good times! Sucks for 27th St, but another one bites the dust! Can we start a pole to see whom is next -- B8 or PE?

Wow. Well I mean writing was on the wall, but they were legendary places, we all had good times there. GH used to have the best crowd in the city. Now..well..not so much!
Its good because it gives someone else an opportunity to try and revamp them. MPD was on its way out a few years ago, and look at how much new stuff is going on there. While I am not a huge fan of it, its still very possible that we will see 27th street reborn in a few years. Its always like that in nightlife.
I will miss both Home and Guesthouse. We had a great crew there.
Guest House used to have the best crowd in the city??? Which city? Are you kidding me? Never even close!

MePa is the new OuCh... Provocateur opening, Simyone opening, & with existing spots like 1OAK, 675 Bar, Avenue, Gansevoort Rooftop, The Griffin, Kiss & Fly, TenJune... Jane Ballroom closeby, and with 1OAKs acquisition of the Plumm & Country Club spaces... It's only getting better...
jon b has been going down and is definitely on the Least importantList...When the money is gone all you have is your character... $$$ cant help this man!
