actually in all honesty, i would totally prefer an anonymous "insider" writer over another Hesser/Bruni idiohack any day of the week.

There is much people can say about Steve. He is getting a lot of play on this site. He is one of those people who when you talk to him he will tell you that he is the best at everything, started everything / everyone and knows better then you. The problem is when it comes to clubs he was a innovator, he was pretty good at it and when it comes to how a club should run, he probably knows better then you. I hate a lot of the design work but, its always functional and you never actually know what kind of budget he has been given. When it comes to the blog, most of the people out there do it as a hobby with hopes of making some revenue on advertising. Steve gets paid for his opinions. So we can say a lot about it but his past and current history keeps him well off this list.

The clear answer is this. The most unimportant people in NYC nightlife aren't on any of your lists. The people who are so unimportant, nobody knows.

hi, i dont have all the facts with this jon lennon/abbe thing. ill talk to jon and see whats up. maybe he made a mistake we all do. ive spent many hours hanging with him at the door of goldbar and have seen him work in the most professional manner but thats a generalization and ill look at the specifics here. abbe is great, i truely sweat her but she does sometimes ...get a bit emotional..as far as the npc. it's not my npc.. i came up with the idea and co chair with paul seres. paul,matt levine and ariel palitz and i meet weekly to gear up for the fall elections. we do have the full support of the new york nightlife association who we answer to. we are supported as well by the new york restaurant association. it is a group for all of nightlife, we are using the hundreds of thousands of names in our email and text msging data bases to influence primary elections come september. if my friendship and support of my friend jon lennon moves you away from this cause which seems to be one of the only hopes even if it is a straw of saving nightlife then so be it.
